about

Keep Cork Harbour a Safe Harbour ! Please buy this song for whatever you can afford ( minimum €1 no maximum!) and SHARE the link with all your friends and family around the world. All proceeds are being donated to CHASE ( Cork Harbour Alliance for a Safe Environment) to help them in their continuing and urgent fight to stop the toxic waste incinerator being built in Ringaskiddy. Why not send it as a gift to your friends and tell them about the campaign?

An Bord Pleanala granted permission for the incinerator on May 31st 2018 despite 3 previous oral hearings recommending AGAINST it.

The next stage is to take a Judicial Review of the decision to the High Court which will cost €150,000 - €200,00. WE HAVE TO RAISE THIS MONEY BY JULY 12TH !

The people of Cork Harbour, and the wider Cork area have already spent hundreds of thousands of euros fighting this over the past eighteen years, and we sincerely hope the people will come up trumps again, and enable us to continue to fight for a safe, clean Cork Harbour, without a toxic incinerator in the middle of it. lyrics

Safe Harbour ( words & music by Abigail Joffe)

Give me safe harbour
Where the water lies still
A mirror reflecting
Rose clouds over hills
And the strand in the morning
Where no one has walked
Glows brilliant and knowing
An ancient gold torc
Dee da dee dee dee dee, dee da dee

Give me safe harbour
Rest my head on your chest
Slip your arms round my shoulders
Treat me as your guest
Till the storm has blown over
And the sirens have sung
Give me safe harbour
I won’t stay long

I’ve been washed up wanting
I’ve been tangled in weeds
I’ve been battling the monsters
That lurk in the deep
I’ve been losing my mind
I’ve been losing my grip
I’ve been cast out drifting
Now I’m jumping ship

Dee da dee…

Give me safe harbour
Rest my head on your chest
Slip your arms round my shoulders
Treat me as your guest
Till the storm has blown over
And the sirens have sung
Give me safe harbour
I won’t stay long

Dee da dee
Give me safe harbour .....
